Mission of the Mentoring Program
The mission of the mentoring program in Newtown is to provide individualized support to all teachers, whether new to the district, grade, department or to the profession. We will guide them in becoming more reflective, encourage their collaborative professional development, and improve their effectiveness as teachers. This support of our new teachers will, in turn, improve student growth throughout the district.
