Mission Statement

It is the mission statement of the Newtown Public Schools Security Department to provide professional and courteous service at all school campuses to ensure the physical safety and emotional well-being of all students, faculty, staff and visitors. During a crisis, it is our goal to protect lives and property, respond to emergencies promptly and appropriately, coordinate with school administrators and local first responders, aid in recovery, and help to restore normal school operations as quickly as possible.
