Ms. Uberti has served as a leader in Newtown Public Schools since 2013. She began her tenure as principal of Reed Intermediate School and in 2019 she assumed the position of Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. Prior to coming to Newtown, she served as the principal of two schools simultaneously in Thomaston, Black Rock Elementary and Thomaston Center School, for three years. She began her career in education as an elementary teacher in Naugatuck and Woodbury, before becoming a math coach and coordinator in Region 14 (Behtlehem/Woodbury).
Ms. Uberti holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Florida State University, a Master of Arts degree in teaching from Sacred Heart University and an Intermediate Administration Certificate from University of Bridgeport. She earned her Superintendent of Schools Certification through Central Connecticut State University.
Ms. Uberti has previously presented at the National Association of Elementary School Principals Conference (2016) on the topic of climate and culture. She is a member of the American Association of School Administrators, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents.
